Individual Therapy
Meet with a therapist and work with them one-on-one. Individual therapy focuses on your individual needs! This type of therapy can include others, like friends or family - if that is helpful in service to your healing and growth. But the focus is solely on the client and helping them achieve their goals.
Brainspotting works in helping people process and heal from emotional pain, trauma, and other deeply held challenges. Like EMDR, BSP recognizes that trauma and significant stressors are stored in the brain and the body. BSP has been described as a gentler approach than EMDR and is also more intuitive and client-led. The goal with BSP is to "unlock" where the trauma is stored and allow your mind and body to do what it knows to do - HEAL!

Skills & Life Coaching
Not all mental health or wellness needs require in-depth support, personal exploration, or intervention. Coaching services at Kismet are intended to meet this need. We recognize that having a personal "cheerleader" and knowledgeable professional in your corner is all that some people need!
Please note that Coaching services at Kismet Mental Health & Wellness are not available through insurance. Schedule a free consultation or intake evaluation to determine if this service is a good fit for you and your needs.
Families are dynamic and complicated. So when challenges stemming from the relationships within a family arise, it can feel overwhelming and sometimes frustrating. Family therapy helps clients understand the dynamics within the family - including strengths and weaknesses. Communication and skills development are often key parts of family therapy.

Ecotherapy
Ecotherapy addresses mental, emotional, and physical health by engaging the senses and promoting mindfulness in natural settings. It is a therapeutic practice that involves connecting with nature to improve mental and physical well-being based on the understanding that human health is deeply intertwined with the natural environment.
AAT incorporates interactions with trained animals to enhance physical, emotional, and mental well-being. AAT has proven to help with mental health (reduces anxiety, depression, and PTSD symptoms; boosts mood and self-esteem), physical health (encourages movement, improves motor skills, and reduces blood pressure), social skills (enhances communication, empathy, and trust-building), and emotional support (provides comfort and companionship).

Support Groups
Knowing that you aren't alone can be powerful! Support groups are aimed at providing emotional support and shared experiences among people who face similar challenges. The focus is on connection and mutual encouragement.
Clinical group therapy focuses on psychological, emotional, and / or behavioral issues. The focus is on therapeutic goals and skill-building. They are more formal and structured, compared to support groups.
